WAVE
Wave is a decorative ceramic piece, whose fluid form and negative space are meant to exude elegance. I initially designed this piece in response to the silly design prompt: "If you were to buy a $100 hot dog, how would you want it served to you?" The hot dog sits in the U-shaped holder and is elevated off of the table surface for the perfect, elegant presentation!
REFLECT
Reflect is a porcelain set of bowls that are inspired by bulbous and organic forms. When the larger porcelain bowl remains unglazed, it can be stacked on top of a smaller bowl to form a light. Working with porcelain allowed me to understand the difficult qualities of porcelain, such as the shrinking and warping, and appreciate the natural translucency of the material, while also experimenting with high fire glazes.
